The national award winning pride from Karnataka Doddahullur Rukkoji for his terrific work on ‘Dr Rajakumar Samagra Charitre’ was honored with his wife at ‘Ooty’ media meet in Akshay Aura Hotel in Bengaluru.

Sa Ra Govindu, KFCC President, S A Govindaraju, Lakshmi Govindaraju, Kumar Bangarappa, Asha Vijayakumar (daughter of Vardappa) Vijayakumar, Giriraj BM, Avinash Narasimharaju, Nikil, Naina, director Mahesh Kumar, producer Krishnamurthy and others were present at the honor.

Smt Lakshmi Govindaraju wished tremendous luck to the ‘Ooty’ team. Kumar Bangarappa felt happy for sharing the dais with Lakshmi Govindaraju for the first time in film career of over 30 years. Like how we respect Dr Rajakumar, we respect this tremendous work of Rukkoji stated Kumar Bangarappa.

Sa Ra Govindu went on a flash back to ‘Aragini’ days where he was editor and Rukkoji joined the institution. I know him since then. I have seen him always with Subramani (senior journalist BN Subramanya) he mentioned. Looking at Avinash Narasimharaju, Govindu stated that he should cooperate with team of his film. He explained a situation of Dr Rajakumar going in Auto rickshaw to Kanteerava studio from High Land Hotel when the Car for pick up did not come at right time. Such simplicity one should imbibe he felt. Instead of honor 10 books of Rukkoji is purchased it will be very apt pointed Govindu. Don’t take so much of time for next book said Govindu.

Avinash Narasimharaju stated that there is no issue with regard to this. He had genuine reason of becoming father today to a male child and was also shooting for another film. I have no complaints he pointed clearing doubts in the air from Govindu advice.

Rukkoji addressing after felicitation said the main base for writing the book is Varadappa. Today his daughter Smt Asha is sitting on the dais and all qualities of Dr Rajakumar could be found in his first daughter Lakshmi Govindaraju. The two sharing dais today makes me very happy he said.

On the Ooty making Rukkoji immensely appreciated the making of the film. Director Mohan Kumar thanked for the wonderful occasion of ‘Ooty’ Kannada film meet. The concept of this film is based on real life story of 1991 – Cauvery riots time.
